Installing your DSL
Hardware (Windows)
|
|
Please read and follow the instructions
that came with your DSL self- installation kit. The hardware setup on nearly
every DSL installation is unique, so it isn’t practical or even possible
for I-Land support technicians to assist in your DSL hardware installation
over the phone. If you aren’t completely comfortable installing new
hardware, we suggest that you contact a computer repair
center to have this done.
We suggest that you keep your existing
modem to use if the DSL connection becomes unstable. Your i-DSL account
comes with 10 hours of dial-up access per month for this purpose.
Note:
For best i-DSL performance, you should update your version of Internet
Explorer and operating system components to the most current revision. To do
this, choose "Windows Update" from the Start menu in the lower
left corner of your Windows screen, or point your browser to: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com.
